4월 칼럼 나는 부활이요 생명이니

만물이 소생하는 신비의 새봄을 맞으며 생명의 하나님께 감사와 찬양을 드린다. 살을 에는 듯 한 겨울의 찬바람에 온 대지가 얼어 떨던 겨울이 언제 있었냐는 듯 새봄의 따스한 햇빛과 온화한 바람이 불자 굳게 얼어붙어 잠자던 대자연은 온갖 꽃들이 앞 다투어 화사한 웃음을 안겨주며 향기를 진동시킨다.
멋있는 우리 하나님 아버지 그 창조의 솜씨에 감탄하지 않을 자가 누구랴! 하나님께서는 창조의 아버지이시며 그 하나님께서는 동시에 생명의 아버지이시다. 겨울이 오면 대지가 꽁꽁 얼어붙지만 그 겨울이 가면 잠자던 대자연이 기지개를 펴고 봄바람과 함께 새 생명의 약동하는 모습을 본다.

인생에게 최대의 적은 죽음이다. 죽음으로 모든 것이 끝나고 말기 때문이다. 키에르케고르는 인간의 생애를 “죽음에 이르는 병을 앓고 있는 존재”라고 정의하였다. 하이데거는 인생을 죽음으로 향하는 존재라고 보았다. 그래서 다섯 가지 명제를 제시하였다. 그것은 “인간은 반드시 죽는다. 죽음은 언제 올지 모른다. 죽음은 누구도 대신 할 수 없다. 죽음은 가장 정확하다. 죽음은 결코 반복될 수 없다”는 것이다. 이것은 유한한 인간이 생각할 수 있는 죽음 앞에서의 자연스러운 정의라고 하겠다. 그러나 2000여 년 전 이 땅 위에 찾아오신 예수님은 인간의 영원한 적인 그 죽음을 생명의 은총으로 바꿔 놓으시고 인류의 구주가 되신 것이다. 생명의 구주로 오신 주님께서는 그를 믿는 모든 크리스천의 구주가 되신다.

생명의 말씀인 성경은 하나님께서는 창조의 아버지시며 그 하나님만이 죽음이 없는 생명의 하나님이라고 증거한다. 하나님께서는 생명을 그 아들 예수 그리스도에게 주시어 그 예수 그리스도를 믿는 모든 그리스도인들이 부활 생명을 얻게 하셨다. 예수 그리스도는 이 세상에 사는 유한한 인생들을 살리기 위하여 오신 분이시다. 예수님은 인류의 영원한 적인 죽음을 정복하기 위하여 우리의 죄 값을 치르시고 죽으신 후 삼일 만에 부활하심으로 인류의 영원한 적인 사망 권세를 이기시고 우리 부활의 첫 열매가 되셨다.
요한복음 11장 24, 25절에 주님께서 선언하셨다. “나는 부활이요 생명이니 나를 믿는 자는 죽어도 살겠고 무릇 살아서 나를 믿는 자는 영원히 죽지 아니하리니 이것을 네가 믿느냐.”

새봄과 함께 부활의 계절이 우리 앞에 성큼 다가왔다. 이 부활의 계절에 하나님의 창조의 신비 속에 약동하는 자연 만물을 보면서 우리 크리스천들에게 부활 생명을 은혜의 선물로 주신 하나님께 감사 또 감사 드리자! 우리 위해 죽으시고 우리 위해 다시 사신 주님을 찬양하고 또 찬양하자! 그리고 이 부활 생명의 복음을 온 누리에 힘껏 증거 하자!

I Am the Resurrection and the Life



As I greet this newly arrived season of spring, in which all creation is mysteriously revived, I give thanks and praise to the God of life. As if to ask where all the cold bone-chilling air that froze the earth had gone, as soon as the warm rays and breeze of the new spring season arrive, all of nature that had been asleep bursts out in flowers that fill us with fragrance and smiles.

Our amazing Father God- is there anyone not moved by the Creator's handiwork! God is the Father of creation and at the same time, the Father of life. When winter comes, the ground freezes, but when winter leaves, all of nature that had been asleep, stretch and yawn to come newly revived again along with the spring breeze.



To mankind, the greatest enemy is death. This is because through death, all things end. Kiel Kegel described man as “ an existence ailing with the disease of death”. Heidegger saw human life as a life headed towards death. Thus, he gave the following 5 theses about life: “Man will surely die. No one knows when death will come. No one else can die in your stead. Death is most precise. Death cannot be repeated.” I will say that these are natural conclusions that a finite human being can arrive at in the face of death. However, around 2000 years ago, Jesus who came to this earth, exchanged man's eternal enemy, death, for the grace of life, and became the Lord and Savior of mankind. The Lord who came as the Lord and Savior of life becomes the Lord and Savior of all Christians who believe in Him.



The Bible, which is the Word of life, is the Father of creation and it bears witness that only this God is the God of life who never dies. God gave life to His Son Jesus Christ and allowed all Christians who believe in this Jesus Christ to also receive the resurrection life. Jesus Christ came in order to save finite mankind who lives in this world. Jesus, in order to conquer man's eternal foe, which is death, paid the price for our sins and died. But then by resurrecting after three days, He overcame man's eternal enemy, the powers of death, and became the First-fruit of our own resurrection.

In John chapter 11, verses 25, 26, the Lord proclaimed, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Along with the newly arrived spring, the season of resurrection has also appeared before us. As we look upon nature during this season of resurrection and witness how all of creation becomes vibrant with life by the mysterious ways of the Creator God, let us give thanks to God again and again for giving us Christians the resurrection life as a gift of grace! Let us give praise to the Lord again and again for dying for us and rising again from the dead! And finally, let us fully commit to witnessing this gospel of the resurrection life to all nations!
